Directions to 20 Fairmont St, Arlington, MA 02474

You can get to our house easily on the Red Line.

  1. Red line to Alewife
  2. As you exit the train, walk all the way to the end (same direction the train was going as it pulled into the station).
  3. Up the escalators into the main terminal.
  4. Exit turnstiles and turn right.
  5. Pass Dunkin Donuts on your left (in the terminal)
  6. Keep going straight up ramp, then stairs.
  7. When you get outside, walk to the road (Cambridgepark W).
  8. Turn right and hop on the Bike Path.
  9. Youll pass through two stone pillars that say Alewife and then over a small bridge.
  10. Follow the bike path under route 2.
  11. Take the first right you can after the swampy area onto Thorndike Street.
  12. Theres a big red sign that says Arlington on your left at the intersection of Thorndike.
  13. Follow Thorndike 1 block and turn right on Herbert
  14. Follow Herbert 1 block and turn Left on Fairmont.
  15. Were #20 Fairmont on the right. Brown house, yellow trim.

Beware that there are probably no signs that give street names where you'd need them.

 
Alternately, take the 77 bus from Harvard or Porter Square and ask them to let you off at Teel Street.
Cross Mass Ave, and then walk down Fairmont.
